Job Description
A senior engineering role focused on designing, implementing, and managing SCADA systems and control architectures for microgrids, power plants, and data center operations to ensure reliable and efficient power automation and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation and control architecture for power systems in data centers and microgrids.
- Apply expertise in SCADA and networking system design to ensure system uptime and visibility.
- Support the development of behind-the-meter BTM or off-grid microgrids, gas-fired power plants, and solar-plus-storage systems.
- Shape control system strategies to support mission-critical data center operations.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of electrical infrastructure, power automation, networks, and control systems to support the development of behind-the-meter BTM or off-grid microgrids, gas-fired power plants, and solar-plus-storage systems across hyperscale and colocation data centers.
- Expertise in shaping automation and control architecture that underpins mission-critical data center operations.
- Proficiency in SCADA system design and operation to ensure unparalleled uptime and visibility across complex power systems.
- Ability to support the development and integration of power systems including microgrids, gas-fired power plants, and solar-plus-storage systems.
- Experience in applying networking system design principles relevant to SCADA and control systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SCADA engineering, electrical infrastructure, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of power automation systems and control system architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid or fully remote environment, with flexibility to be based in Ridgewood, NJ, NYC, LA, Oakland, CA, or remotely.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and leadership, including reporting to the Chief Technology Officer.
