A Development Engineer responsible for providing engineering support for distributed energy and microgrid projects, including managing assets like solar, energy storage, controls, and engines, to ensure reliable and optimized microgrid operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide engineering support for distributed energy and microgrid projects
Manage DER and microgrid assets such as solar, energy storage, controls, and reciprocating engines
Assist in project design, engineering, and execution of microgrid systems
Requirements
Provide comprehensive engineering support for distributed energy and microgrid projects, including managing a variety of DER and microgrid assets such as solar, energy storage, controls, and reciprocating engines.
Report to the Manager of Development Engineering.
Work in a hybrid role based out of Oakland, CA, or Santa Monica, CA offices.
Possess relevant engineering skills and knowledge related to microgrid systems and distributed energy resources.
Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering support, project design, or related roles in the energy or microgrid industry.
Demonstrate experience with project design, engineering, and execution of microgrid or distributed energy projects.
Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
Have the ability to support the development and implementation of microgrid systems that ensure ultra-reliable operations and fast time-to-power.
Be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple project assets simultaneously.
