The Senior Project Manager will oversee the design, regulatory compliance, and construction of advanced microgrid energy solutions for data centers, ensuring project execution aligns with technical, safety, and regulatory standards while driving the expansion of scalable, resilient, and decarbonized power infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the execution of behind-the-meter BTM, microgrids, gas-fired power plants, and solar storage systems for data centers
Support project design during the planning phase, ensuring integration of operational and regulatory requirements
Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, utilities, and local authorities to secure approvals and ensure compliance
Execute infrastructure updates such as natural gas pipeline connections and site modifications
Lead EPC oversight, ensuring vendors and contractors meet project timelines, quality, safety, and contractual standards
Monitor construction progress, proactively resolving delays and bottlenecks
Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership during construction, providing updates and addressing concerns
Requirements
Experience in overseeing the execution of behind-the-meter BTM, or off-grid microgrids, gas-fired power plants, and solar storage systems for hyperscale and colocation data centers.
Ability to provide project design support during the design phase to ensure that execution details are integrated into project plans from the outset, including providing insights into natural gas requirements, operational feasibility, vendor alignment, and operational feasibility risks.
Experience in managing relationships with regulatory bodies, utilities, and local authorities to secure necessary approvals and ensure compliance.
Experience in executing infrastructure updates required for the site, including natural gas pipeline connection and potential lateral builds.
Proven ability to lead EPC oversight activities, ensuring all vendors and contractors deliver in alignment with expectations and timelines of data center customers.
Ability to monitor construction progress against the agreed-upon schedule, proactively identify and resolve delays or bottlenecks to maintain project momentum.
Experience conducting regular site visits and progress reviews, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and contractual obligations.
Experience serving as the primary point of contact for senior leadership during the construction phase, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with project execution.
Strong business acumen, stakeholder management, problem-solving skills, and a builder’s mindset.
Ability to work in a hybrid role based out of Ridgewood, NJ HQ, or at NYC, LA, or Oakland, CA offices, or fully remote for the right candidate.
