The Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance, reporting, and controls for a growing energy company, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations while managing a team and coordinating with external accountants.
Key Responsibilities
Manage overall tax compliance with federal, state, and local laws
Supervise tax reporting, including preparation and review of tax returns and documentation
Coordinate and ensure timely processing of all tax payments and estimated payments
Facilitate the preparation of tax provisions, HLBV, and related reporting with external accountants
Prepare income tax disclosures for financial statements in accordance with ASC 740, GAAP, and IFRS
Develop and maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliant procedures to minimize tax risks
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a Master's degree in taxation preferred.
7 or more years of tax accounting experience, ideally in renewable energy or infrastructure.
Deep knowledge of corporate taxation, partnership taxation, and tax reporting.
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Experience with preparing, managing, and coordinating corporate income tax returns, estimates, and other filings.
Ability to develop and maintain documentation for corporate income tax returns, estimates, and other filings.
Experience ensuring timely processing of all tax payments, including quarterly Federal estimated payments.
Experience coordinating and facilitating preparation and review of tax provision, HLBV, and reporting with 3rd party independent accountants.
Ability to prepare income tax provision footnotes and related disclosures for inclusion in financial statements, ensuring compliance with ASC 740, GAAP, and IFRS.
Experience developing, maintaining, and documenting Sarbanes Oxley compliant procedures and processes to minimize global tax risks.
Supervisory experience managing 0-3 employees.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Location flexibility to work in the Philadelphia, PA area or in Texas.
