Job Description
The Associate Senior Manager in Capital Markets at SB Energy supports the execution of financing transactions for energy infrastructure projects, including modeling, due diligence, deal documentation, and relationship management, with opportunities for leadership and process improvement within a dynamic, growth-oriented company.
Key Responsibilities
- Support capital formation through financial modeling, analysis, and due diligence.
- Assist in negotiating transaction documentation and drive financial close.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners and internal teams.
- Collaborate across departments to support funding processes and deal execution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of company processes and uphold business ethics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 3-10 years of experience working at a leading sponsor, investor lender, or advisor in data centers, power infrastructure, or real estate with direct capital markets experience.
- Experience in project finance debt, leveraged finance, project bonds, or CMBS is required; data center experience in an analytically rigorous environment is strongly preferred.
- Transaction experience in project finance debt is preferred.
- Expertise in MS Excel is required; VBA knowledge is a plus.
- Ownership mentality with comfort in communicating ideas and taking initiative.
- Self-motivated to produce high-quality work.
- Avid learner.
- Location in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically headquarters in Redwood City, CA, or offices in San Diego, CA, or Denver, CO; Redwood City strongly preferred.
- Ability to support capital formation as part of deal teams, including financial modeling, analysis, due diligence, and transaction documentation.
- Ability to overcome issues and help drive execution for financial close.
- Ability to build and maintain deep relationships externally and across the company.
- Ability to collaborate with functional teams across the company, including M&A, FP&A, project development, procurement, construction, and operations, on various work streams.
- Commitment to continuous improvement of company processes.
- Maintain uncompromising business ethics.
