Job Description
A Tech Lead role responsible for guiding a team of engineers in developing scalable, high-impact software products that connect IoT devices and sensor data to improve physical operations across various industries. The position involves technical leadership, hands-on development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that have real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Architect and develop high-impact, scalable software products for physical operations.
- Drive end-to-end product development, from system design to implementation.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and go-to-market teams to define and prioritize features.
- Guide the team through rapid iteration cycles based on customer and market feedback.
- Work across system boundaries, including firmware, backend, and frontend, to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Engage with customers and field teams to understand real-world operational challenges and edge cases.
- Set the technical direction and ensure delivery of high-quality, impactful products.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience building software with a strong track record of shipping impactful products both greenfield (0 to 1) and at scale.
- 1 year of experience leading or mentoring other engineers, with the ability to balance technical leadership and hands-on contributions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong sense of ownership and a bias for action, comfortable making decisions and owning outcomes across the full product lifecycle.
- Proven ability to deliver speed and scale in software development.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills able to work cross-functionally and elevate the impact of your team.
- Proven track record of algorithm development.
- Experience working with AI/ML teams.
- Experience working with geolocation data, spatial algorithms, or real-world physical sensor inputs.
