Job Description

The role involves managing and negotiating enterprise renewal contracts for Samsara's SaaS products, ensuring customer success, identifying growth opportunities, and acting as a strategic partner to maximize revenue and strengthen customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and execute renewal contracts for enterprise accounts to maximize contract value and maintain customer relationships
  • Engage in strategic account planning with stakeholders to ensure renewal accountability
  • Monitor customer health metrics to proactively identify and communicate risks
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies to secure favorable renewal terms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex issues and identify expansion opportunities
  • Maintain accurate customer data and renewal information in company systems
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the Renewals team and promote company cultural principles

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of quota achievement in a renewals or account management capacity.
  • Experience negotiating complex 500K Enterprise SaaS agreements both in person and remotely with executives.
  • Ability to tactically close deals with a high degree of integrity, business acumen, and independence.
  • Experience building strong partnerships with peers and partners.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent client hands and executive communication skills.
  • Team player who enjoys assisting where needed and finding ways to help.
  • High activity level, enthusiastic, self-motivated.
  • Proven influencer and negotiator.
  • Comfort and experience negotiating SaaS renewal contracts in a remote or in-person setting.
  • Ability to develop and deliver negotiation strategies that maximize contract value while protecting customer relationships.
  • Ability to engage in strategic account planning with stakeholders at the Director level to ensure accountability ahead of renewals.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and work 9 months in advance of upcoming renewals.
  • Monitor customer health metrics to proactively identify and communicate risks.
  • Track and maintain customer data and renewal information in Samsara systems.
  • Act as a Renewals brand ambassador internally and champion Samsara’s cultural principles.
