Job Description
The Solutions Integration Engineer at Samsara is responsible for developing and implementing scalable B2B integrations with the company's IoT platform, collaborating with customers and internal teams to deliver technical solutions that enhance operational safety, efficiency, and sustainability across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in system integration projects with customer development teams and third-party systems to build scalable solutions using Samsara APIs
- Create project scopes, technical specifications, and business requirements for integrations
- Design and build robust, scalable integration architectures for use cases like real-time data streaming, event subscriptions, and batch processing
- Develop, test, validate, and review code to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Advise on and document best practices for integrations using Samsara APIs and products
- Collaborate with the Developer Ecosystem team to improve API experience and features
- Contribute to the development of Professional Services team methodologies and tools
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience developing Integration solutions using proven architecture methodologies
- Bilingual proficiency in English, Spanish, and French
- Ability to write, read, and understand code in Python and one additional programming language such as JavaScript or AppScript
- Experience with agentic workflows, including the design, orchestration, and deployment of multi-agent systems for enterprise use cases
- Proficient in leveraging Large Language Model (LLM)-based tools for code generation, prompt engineering, automation, and enhancing developer productivity
- Experience in developing solutions leveraging modern Cloud Services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Comfortable in reviewing data integration requirements and translating them into good technical designs
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, Webhooks, and modern databases
- Comfortable in participating in customer evaluations and deployments, with the ability to manage multiple customer engagements in parallel
- Strong written communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams
- Proficient in using GitHub for version control and collaboration
- Experience working with modern Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Experience building enterprise-scale integrations or API scripting (minimum 3 years)
- Familiarity with B2B system integration projects and workflows
- Bias-to-action and hands-on experience delivering business results
