Job Description
The Solutions Integration Engineer at Samsara is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing B2B integrations with the company's IoT platform for strategic customers, ensuring scalable and reliable solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support customer success and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead system integration projects with customer development teams, partners, and third-party systems using Samsara's Web integration technologies.
- Design, develop, and define complex project scopes, technical specifications, and business requirements for integrations.
- Build robust and scalable integration architectures for real-time data streaming, event subscriptions, and batch processing.
- Test, validate, and review code to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Advise and document best practices for integrations using Samsara APIs and products.
- Collaborate with the Developer Ecosystem team to improve API experience and features.
- Contribute to the enhancement of Professional Services methodologies and tools.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and developing Integration solutions using proven architecture methodologies.
- Experience in gathering data integration requirements and translating them into good technical data designs.
- Ability to write, read, and understand code in Python and one additional programming language such as JavaScript or AppScript.
- Proficient in leveraging Large Language Model (LLM)-based tools for code generation, prompt engineering, automation, and enhancing developer productivity.
- Experience with agentic workflows, including the design, orchestration, and deployment of multi-agent systems for enterprise use cases.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in developing solutions leveraging modern Cloud Services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience in building or working with RESTful APIs, Webhooks, and modern databases.
- Knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, and data visualization concepts is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with customer evaluations and deployments, managing multiple customer engagements in parallel.
- Proven ability to effectively manage complex projects involving a wide range of stakeholders including C-Level executives.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams.
- Proficient in using GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Experience working with modern Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of customer-facing experience building and supporting enterprise-scale integrations or API scripting.
- Familiarity with B2B system integration projects and workflows.
- Bias-to-action and hands-on experience delivering business results.
- Ability to build and support complex technical solutions, including configuring and deploying them.
- Familiarity with fleets, logistics, and vehicle diagnostic systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in the US excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area.
