This internship offers hands-on experience in developing and building scalable IoT platform solutions, including infrastructure, user interfaces, and embedded software, to improve physical operations across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop core infrastructure for the IoT platform, focusing on scaling data ingestion and storage systems.
Create user interfaces to transform device data into intuitive, actionable insights.
Develop features across the platform, including data structures and analytics for web and mobile platforms.
Support and maintain on-device software for Samsara's hardware products, including edge AI models and real-time data processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-quality software solutions that impact customer safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Requirements
Complete a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science between Spring, Summer, Fall 2027, or Winter 2028.
The internship can be a remote or in-person hybrid requiring 3 days per week in the London office and 2 days working remotely.
Proven ability to develop production-level software.
Proficiency in at least one of the following areas: Backend, Infrastructure, Full-stack, Frontend, or Mobile Infrastructure.
Experience with technologies such as Golang, Python, Node.js, Typescript, and React is strongly encouraged.
Strong technical foundation in computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
Ability to create and take ownership of projects with a builder mindset.
Motivated by understanding customer needs and building solutions that make their lives easier.
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively both independently and with cross-functional teams.
