Job Description
The Senior Manager of Sales Operations at Samsara is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and optimization of sales systems and tools, including Salesforce, to support revenue growth and operational efficiency. The role involves managing a team, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and driving continuous improvement in sales processes and technology adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and evolution of Salesforce and connected GTM systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and alignment with business priorities.
- Partner with Sales Leadership, RevOps, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into system designs, enhancements, and tools that improve seller productivity and revenue growth.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of system initiatives, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, release management, and change communication.
- Establish KPIs and operational metrics for system health, tool adoption, and seller effectiveness, using data insights for continuous improvement.
- Act as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to maximize ROI and efficiency of system investments.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of administrators and analysts to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or related GTM operations roles, with at least 3 years managing teams.
- Proven experience administering and optimizing Salesforce CRM in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of sales technology ecosystems including CPQ, sales engagement, forecasting, and analytics.
- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional projects with competing priorities.
- Proven track record managing people directly with 2 to 5 reports, sometimes including a manager underneath.
- Ability to coach and develop talent, delegate effectively, and manage workloads across others.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional partners and provide clear updates to senior leaders.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Smartsheet.
- Experience leading governance, vendor management, or tool evaluation processes.
- Ability to communicate with both technical stakeholders and business leaders, translating complex issues into clear solutions.
