Job Description
A Sales Compensation Analyst responsible for administering and managing sales incentive programs, ensuring accurate commission payments, and supporting process improvements within a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer sales variable payments such as commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs for assigned sales teams.
- Ensure accurate and timely calculation and distribution of sales incentive plans.
- Address and resolve commissions inquiries, adjustments, and corrections.
- Validate accruals and payments, providing insights on fluctuations and variances.
- Maintain and update sales compensation plan documents and templates.
- Support participant setup, including onboarding, terminations, and changes, ensuring SOX compliance.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing for sales compensation system updates.
- Identify and contribute to process improvements to scale sales compensation operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales Compensation role at a high-growth technology company or a company with 500 or more employees, with experience in administering sales variable payments such as commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs.
- Bachelor Degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Experience in automated sales commissions systems and their setup and operation, such as Xactly, SAP, Anaplan, Oracle EIM, or similar tools.
- Demonstrated success in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with proven attention to detail.
- Good business acumen and awareness of business trends.
- High degree of motivation, responsibility, and flexibility.
