Job Description
This role involves leading and managing a team of engineers to develop and deliver innovative security products for IoT-enabled physical operations, utilizing AI and machine learning to detect and respond to security incidents, with a focus on scalability, customer impact, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive engineering team through hiring, mentoring, and fostering career growth.
- Define the technical vision and roadmap in collaboration with product management, design, and customers.
- Guide the team in leveraging AI and machine learning to develop innovative detection and incident response capabilities.
- Oversee the architecture, development, and delivery of new product initiatives from concept to deployment.
- Establish and optimize engineering metrics to ensure rapid iteration, high quality, and productivity.
- Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate solutions based on customer feedback to address critical pain points.
- Manage end-to-end product development, ensuring solutions are scalable and used by a large customer base.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6 years of professional software development experience.
- 2 years of formal experience managing a team of software engineers in a product-driven environment.
- A deep-seated curiosity and a willingness to dive into complex technical and customer problems.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for developing a strong team culture.
- Experience building and leading teams in a high-growth company and navigating ambiguity to deliver results (Startup DNA).
- Practical experience building with or fine-tuning Machine Learning models and the ability to guide a team working on these technologies.
- Strong grasp of modern data engineering ecosystems and understanding of the challenges of maintaining data integrity across distributed systems.
- Proven success at leading teams that have shipped and scaled software products to a large and growing user base.
- Experience with or the ability to quickly learn core technologies including Go, TypeScript, GraphQL, gRPC, and React/React Native.
