Job Description
This role involves managing IT support services, hardware assets, vendor relationships, and optimizing IT operations to support Samsara's global teams, with a focus on operational excellence and scalable processes in a remote, Canada-based position.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive delivery of IT Support Services projects
- Manage IT hardware ordering and inventory forecasting
- Analyze and optimize laptop management processes for scalability
- Develop relationships with global IT vendors and service offices
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and plan IT initiatives
- Manage SaaS vendor relationships and optimize tooling for renewals
- Monitor and improve IT operations financials, performance metrics, and SLAs
- Develop and refine IT business processes and propose improvement strategies
- Embed and promote Samsara’s cultural principles within IT operations
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an analytical or project management capacity, working in an IT organization owning hardware asset management.
- Excellent analytical, financial budgeting skills.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
- Must reside in Canada.
- Experience working with Workplace and Real Estate Finance and Procurement teams (preferred but not explicitly mandatory).
- Experience with global supply chains and international vendors (preferred but not explicitly mandatory).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with an ability to build relationships and work across multi-functional organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects end-to-end.
- Strong data management skills including Google Sheets, Excel, Splunk, etc.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Flexible problem solver who can adapt in a dynamic environment.
