Job Description
A Commercial Counsel at Aprio provides legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters, collaborating with stakeholders across the firm, and gaining exposure to corporate governance, compliance, and dispute resolution in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a legal advisor on a broad range of commercial matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to support legal and business objectives
- Gain exposure to corporate governance, legal technology, compliance, and dispute resolution
Requirements
- Serve as a key legal advisor on a broad range of commercial matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, legal technology, compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Possess the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across every level of the firm.
- Be an early-career attorney seeking a dynamic, hands-on role with professional growth opportunities.
- Have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (state bar admission or equivalent).
- Have experience or familiarity with commercial contracts and related legal issues.
- Demonstrate strong legal research, analysis, and drafting skills.
- Be able to handle a broad range of legal matters with responsibility and professionalism.
- Possess excellent communication skills to serve as a legal advisor to various stakeholders.
- Be willing to gain exposure to corporate governance, legal technology, compliance, and dispute resolution as part of the role.
