Job Description

The role involves generating demand and qualifying leads for Samsara's IoT products, acting as the first point of contact in the sales process, and developing enterprise sales skills to support the company's growth in physical operations industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Qualify inbound leads and execute outbound strategies to build a sales pipeline
  • Drive growth and demand for Samsara's products
  • Develop enterprise technology sales skills through mentorship
  • Achieve performance-based commissions and pursue promotion to closing roles
  • Engage in high-volume cold calling and customer outreach
  • Learn and understand the industries supported to tailor sales approaches

Requirements

  • High level of interest in the IoT space.
  • Excitement around growing a sales career.
  • Comfortability in a dynamic, customer facing environment.
  • Previous cold calling experience.
  • Motivation to be in a goal-oriented, quota-carrying role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in French.
  • Ability to average 60-80 calls daily.
  • Innate curiosity in how businesses work, with the ability to learn about different industries such as waste management and food distribution centers.
  • Resilience to handle rejection and continue making calls to sell Samsara’s mission.
  • Drive growth and demand by qualifying inbound leads and executing outbound strategies to build a pipeline for Samsara’s full product line.
  • Develop high-level enterprise sales skills through direct mentorship from top-tier executives.
  • Achieve performance-based accelerated commissions and follow a structured path toward promotion into enterprise closing roles.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with the flexibility to work remotely or in-office as per operational requirements.
  • Legal right to work at the company and in the specified work location (if applicable).

Annual OTE salary range of 77,000 to 84,700 CAD depending on location
