Job Description

A strategic business operations leader responsible for driving growth, market insights, and operational excellence in the US Public Sector market for a fast-growing IoT SaaS company, supporting sales, product strategy, and cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the strategic owner of the US Public Sector market, developing understanding of customer segments, sales performance, product-market fit, and competitive landscape.
  • Represent the voice of the US Public Sector market to inform company strategy, product roadmap, and customer programs.
  • Drive and track the execution of cross-functional investments and strategic projects within the business.
  • Support sales leadership with planning, territory design, goal setting, forecasting, and performance reviews to help meet targets.
  • Develop executive presentations and recommendations to influence senior leadership decisions.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to optimize sales performance and achieve sales targets.
  • Manage the rhythm of the business, including quarterly reviews, market updates, and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to uncover trends, diagnose root causes, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing team aligned with company culture principles.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Consulting, Strategy, Finance, Business Operations, or Sales Strategy Operations.
  • Experience in building trusting relationships and influencing others, including executive audiences.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and partnering with sales leadership.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects on a tight deadline.
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills with a deep sense of curiosity.
  • Strong bias for action and ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience working with large data sets and leveraging DataBricks, BigQuery, SQL, or similar tools.
  • Experience working in the Public Sector vertical for a high-growth company.
  • An MBA degree is preferred.
  • Ability to independently pull and transform data across multiple sources such as Salesforce, Databricks, Gong, Tableau to uncover trends, diagnose root causes, and support data-driven decision making.
  • Experience driving and tracking the execution of cross-functional investments within the business.
  • Ability to develop executive-ready presentations and recommendations, regularly briefing senior leadership and influencing high-impact decisions.
  • Ownership mindset with willingness to shape end-to-end outcomes of the market.
  • Experience in strategic project management, such as new segment launches or field productivity improvements.
  • Ability to support annual and quarterly planning, territory design, goal setting, forecasting, performance reviews, and sales metrics.
  • Experience in developing insights and analytics to optimize sales performance and help sales teams hit their targets.
