Job Description
The Director of Go-to-Market Strategy at Samsara is responsible for defining and executing long-term growth strategies, aligning cross-functional teams, and driving high-impact initiatives to expand the company's market presence and revenue in the IoT-enabled physical operations industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve Samsara's long-term growth strategies, including new geographies, verticals, and partnerships
- Lead strategic projects by structuring problems, developing hypotheses, conducting analyses, and driving solutions
- Identify and draw insights from industry, customer, and partner feedback to inform organizational strategy
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and execute strategies that maximize long-term value
- Communicate strategic plans and insights to internal and external stakeholders, including executive and board presentations
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Consulting, Strategy, Finance, Business Operations, or Sales Strategy Operations.
- Experience in building trusting relationships and influencing others including executive audiences.
- Experience working with executive leadership and partnering with sales leadership.
- Effective and mature communication skills, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing.
- Self-starter who thrives and can multitask in fast-paced and often ambiguous environments.
- Sharp business judgment, ability to see the big picture and to prioritize.
- High energy, strong work ethic, disciplined execution skills, and willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver results.
- MBA degree is preferred but not required.
- Ability to define and evolve long-term growth strategies such as new geographies, unlocking verticals, and establishing new partnerships.
- Ability to lead critical strategic projects, structure problems, develop hypotheses, conduct analyses, and drive solutions and actionable recommendations.
- Ability to bring the voice of the customer to the organization, understand and draw insights from industry, customer trends, and customer partner feedback.
- Experience engaging in high-impact internal and external communications, including long-term planning, Board materials, and executive presentations.
- Ability to hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team.
