Job Description
The Core Enterprise Sales Director at Samsara leads and develops a high-performing sales team focused on enterprise organizations, driving complex sales cycles involving IoT solutions that improve physical operations across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of sales managers and account executives in enterprise sales strategies and pipeline management
- Hire, onboard, and coach new managers and sales staff to ensure their growth and success
- Create training content and support professional development for the sales team
- Provide tactical feedback to sales team members to improve performance
- Foster a high-performance, inclusive team culture aligned with company principles
- Strategically solve problems and project manage cross-functional initiatives related to sales
- Drive achievement of quarterly sales targets and overachievement of sales goals
- Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers and extended time frames
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform sales strategies and decisions
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with proven performance owning a complex selling motion from prospecting through close
- At least 3 years of experience managing teams
- Experience leading full-cycle sales into the market
- Strong track record of overachievement with experience in coaching a team on outbounding
- Understanding of complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, multiple products, and extended time frames
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable with public speaking
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills
- Self-starter and adaptable to change
- Continued growth mindset to learn a unique industry
- Proficient in making data-driven conclusions
- Ability to provide upward feedback
