Job Description
This role involves selling Samsara's IoT solutions to small to medium-sized customers, managing the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, and building long-term relationships to help improve operational safety, efficiency, and sustainability across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Own customer engagements from prospecting to closing sales.
- Generate sales pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up.
- Target and manage accounts with 11-30 vehicles, handling high-volume transactional sales.
- Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers to foster trust and long-term success.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a closing sales role.
- Proven track record of consistent quota achievement.
- Experience selling in the commercial space with small to medium deal sizes.
- Experience with high-volume cold calling.
- Experience in fast-paced, transactional sales environments with high volume demands.
- Demonstrated ability to handle and own the entire transactional sales process from prospecting to close.
- Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC).
- Ability to generate pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting and manage inbound leads.
- Target accounts with 11-30 vehicles.
- Willingness to learn about various industries such as waste management, food distribution, and others to support sales efforts.
- Ability to build genuine relationships with customers and earn their trust over time.
- Strong communication skills suitable for engaging with customers live on the phone.
- Willingness to put in the work to learn about businesses where prior knowledge is limited.
- Ability to work remotely in Canada, with the flexibility to work in-person or hybrid if required by the position.
- Legal right to work at the company and in the specified work location.
