Job Description

This role involves selling Samsara's IoT solutions to small and medium-sized customers, managing the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, and building long-term relationships to help improve operational safety, efficiency, and sustainability across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own customer engagements from prospecting to closing deals
  • Generate sales pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound leads
  • Target and manage accounts with 11-30 vehicles
  • Handle high-volume transactional sales processes
  • Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers
  • Learn and understand the businesses and industries of customers
  • Achieve and exceed sales quotas through effective sales techniques

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a closing sales role
  • Proven track record of consistent quota achievement
  • Experience selling in the commercial space with small to medium deal sizes
  • Experience with high-volume cold calling
  • Experience in fast-paced, transactional sales environments
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and own a high-volume transactional sales process
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC)
  • Ability to generate pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting and manage inbound leads
  • Target accounts with 11-30 vehicles
  • Willingness to learn about various industries such as waste management, food distribution, and others
  • Ability to build genuine relationships with customers and earn their trust
  • Strong communication skills suitable for remote phone-based engagement
  • Willingness to put in the work to learn about businesses with little prior knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and manage customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to close
