Job Description
This role involves selling Samsara's IoT solutions to small to medium-sized customers, managing the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, and building long-term relationships to help improve operational safety, efficiency, and sustainability across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Own customer engagements from prospecting to closing deals
- Generate sales pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound leads
- Target small to medium-sized accounts with 11-30 vehicles
- Handle high-volume transactional sales processes
- Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers
- Learn and understand customers' business operations to tailor solutions
- Collaborate with team members and embody company cultural principles
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a closing sales role
- Proven track record of consistent quota achievement
- Experience selling in the commercial space with small to medium deal sizes
- Experience with high-volume cold calling
- Experience in fast-paced, transactional sales environments
- Demonstrated ability to handle and own a high-volume transactional sales process
- Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC)
- Ability to generate pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting and manage inbound leads
- Experience targeting accounts with 11-30 vehicles
- Willingness to learn about various industries such as waste management and food distribution
- Ability to build genuine relationships with customers and earn their trust
- Strong communication skills suitable for remote, live phone interactions
- Willingness to put in the work to learn about businesses with little prior knowledge
- Ability to work independently and manage customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to close
- Availability to work in a remote position within the US, with the ability to secure and maintain legal right to work
