Job Description
The Account Development Representative at Samsara is responsible for generating sales opportunities through outbound outreach, building pipelines, and engaging with prospective customers to support the company's IoT solutions across various industries, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Source pipelines for EMEA business through outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Generate sales opportunities and engage prospective customers
- Maintain detailed records of interactions in CRM Salesforce.com
- Become a product and sales process expert to effectively communicate value propositions
- Participate in trade shows and events to represent the Samsara brand and connect with prospects
- Support customer success and build long-term relationships with prospects
- Collaborate with team members and support account development efforts
- Progress through training programs to develop outbound sales skills and support account executives
Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in customer facing roles
- 6-12 months of sales experience as a minimum
- Highly motivated and committed, with strong desire to work in target driven sales
- Proven track record of consistent over achievement of targets and expectations of previous roles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Curious and able to ask insightful questions
- A champion of a Growth Mindset
- Highly proficient in English
- Experience in closing-sales roles
- Willingness to collaborate and influence in a win as a team environment
- Willingness to work from our London office at 1 Alie Street, Aldgate East, E1 8DE twice per week
- Ability to drive pipeline through personalized outreach to prospects via phone, emails, and LinkedIn
- Ability to keep meticulous records of interactions with accounts in our CRM Salesforce.com
- Ability to participate in trade shows and events to represent the Samsara brand and connect with prospective customers and partners
- Ability to become a product expert and learn the Samsara way of selling
- Ability to learn and develop skills through ongoing training and mentorship programs
- Ability to conduct high volume of calls (average of 60 calls daily) to prospective customers
- Resilience to handle rejection and continue outreach efforts
- Ability to build relationships and foster engagement with prospects interested in Samsara’s products
- Ability to learn about and support industries such as waste management, food distribution, and other physical operations
- Ability to maintain and update records accurately in CRM systems
- Ability to participate in professional development programs and progress through ADR levels (ADR I, ADR II, ADR III) based on performance and skill development
