Job Description

The Application Engineer at Rondo Energy is responsible for designing and supporting the deployment of zero-carbon industrial heating solutions by conducting technical analyses, collaborating with customers and internal teams, and developing customized system configurations to maximize value and facilitate the adoption of renewable energy in industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and own technical discussions with customers and external partners to identify opportunities and define project requirements.
Conduct site evaluations, process integrations, techno-economic simulations, and feasibility studies to assess project viability.
Develop customized system configurations to generate customer value based on specific client needs.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Energy Markets teams to perform product analyses, market studies, and technical evaluations.
Provide technical support and expertise during customer presentations and meetings to communicate solution benefits.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years work experience in a related role such as Applications Engineering, industrial processes involving heat, or energy system analysis.
An education background in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering field.
Basic proficiency in coding with Python and Visual Basic.
Ability to operate autonomously and self-direct toward the highest priority tasks.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Innovative and results-oriented thinking.
Outstanding presentation and oratory skills.
Ability to connect and build trust with a wide variety of customers or potential customers.
Ability to travel occasionally as needed within Europe for customer or investor meetings.
