Job Description

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of Rondo's Heat Battery fleet, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordinating operational activities across multiple sites and time zones, while collaborating with engineering and safety teams to ensure optimal performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Support remote monitoring and analyze data trends of operating units to identify issues and improvements
Serve as the primary contact with site operators and implement daily operating plans
Provide support during commissioning, outages, and restarts to ensure smooth transitions and implement retrofits
Maintain operational databases for incidents, threats, vulnerabilities, and lessons learned
Troubleshoot field incidents and support root cause analyses and safety assessments
Track and report operational KPIs to management and stakeholders

Requirements

Three (3) years of experience in operations.
Bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering discipline.
Experience in operations of utility scale Concentrated Solar Power (CSP), waste heat biomass plants, conventional steam power plants, or battery storage.
Experience in operations of industrial-scale water steam or air circulation systems.
Knowledge of industrial process design and control P&IDs and Control Narrative.
Ability to support remote monitoring of operating units and analyze data trends to identify potential issues and improvements.
Ability to serve as the primary point of contact with site operators and facilitate day-to-day implementation of operating plans.
Ability to provide critical support during project commissioning, outages, and restarts, ensuring a smooth transition from commissioning to full operational handoff, including the implementation and commissioning of product improvement retrofits.
Ability to maintain key operational databases, including incident tracking, reliability threats, vulnerabilities, and lessons learned worklists.
Ability to provide rapid troubleshooting support for field incidents.
Experience supporting Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and HAZOPs in collaboration with safety, quality, and engineering disciplines to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Experience supporting the regular tracking and reporting of operational KPIs to management and customers on a weekly basis.
Physical ability and flexibility to work across multiple time zones and travel internationally as required.
