Job Description
The Project Manager II at RES leads complex ecological restoration projects from planning to completion, managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and making a tangible environmental impact through sustainable restoration efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ecological restoration projects from planning through construction close-out
- Develop project schedules, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage cross-disciplinary teams, including contractors, consultants, and vendors
- Coordinate field activities such as site inspections and subcontractor oversight
- Review technical documents, prepare financial reports, and communicate with stakeholders
- Track project performance using management tools and drive project results
- Resolve project challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure project objectives are met
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences, environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 6 years of experience in engineering, construction, or environmental project work
- 3 years of direct project management experience, including ownership of scope, schedule, and budget
- Proficiency with project management tools, such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent
- Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
- Ability to lead complex projects independently, with limited supervision
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
- Previous experience in solar vegetation management and/or civil infrastructure or civil construction
- Travel availability up to 25-50% of the time, particularly during project kickoffs, field execution phases, and regulatory milestones
