Job Description
The Project Manager II at RES is responsible for independently leading complex ecological restoration projects from planning through completion, managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with stakeholders to make a positive environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ecological restoration projects through planning, permitting, field execution, and close-out phases
- Develop project schedules, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate subcontractors, and oversee technical project delivery
- Resolve project challenges, mitigate risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Inspect active sites, coordinate field activities, and review technical documents
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences, environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 6 years of experience in engineering, construction, or environmental project work
- 3 years of direct project management experience, including ownership of scope, schedule, and budget
- Proficiency with project management tools, such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and compliance
- Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
- Ability to lead complex projects independently, with limited supervision
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
- Comfort working in field settings, construction zones, and regulatory environments
