Job Description
The Energy Sales Director is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Energy Advisors, guiding businesses through complex energy challenges, and driving sales growth in the retail commercial energy sector while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Energy Advisors
- Guide the team in helping businesses navigate complex energy challenges
- Play a hands-on leadership role with expertise in retail commercial energy
- Partner with talent acquisition to identify, hire, and develop top sales talent
- Create a positive and inclusive environment to support, motivate, and empower Energy Advisors
Requirements
- Experience in retail commercial energy with a proven track record in energy sales leadership.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of Energy Advisors, including guiding, supporting, and motivating team members.
- Experience in guiding teams to help businesses navigate complex energy challenges, including market volatility, carbon reduction targets, and energy reliability.
- Hands-on leadership experience in a sales environment.
- Experience in partnering with talent acquisition to identify, hire, and develop top sales talent who align with the company's mission and culture.
- Strong communication skills to foster open and honest communication within the team and organization.
- Demonstrated commitment to defining and achieving excellence, including continuously improving and leading by example.
- High ethical standards with a commitment to integrity, including holding oneself and the team to the highest standards and protecting the company's reputation.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive work environment where team members feel supported, motivated, and empowered.
- Experience working in a collaborative environment that values respect, integrity, and excellence.
