The Operator II at RES is responsible for executing construction tasks related to restoration and infrastructure projects, operating various equipment, setting grades, and supporting team efforts to restore ecosystems while working outdoors in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a variety of construction equipment such as tractors, skid steers, and brush cutters.
Assist with grading, setting grades, and installing features according to site plans.
Review construction plans and implement them in the field.
Perform equipment checks, report maintenance needs, and ensure site safety protocols are followed.
Support in training new crew members on safe practices and task procedures.
Monitor work progress against project specifications and communicate with team members.
Requirements
2 years of construction experience
1 year of experience operating construction equipment
Strong familiarity with safety practices and PPE
Ability to read project plans and implement them in the field
Basic experience with GPS and grading tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills
Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
