Job Description
The Operator II at RES is responsible for executing construction tasks related to restoration and infrastructure projects, operating various equipment, setting grades, and supporting team collaboration to ensure high-quality environmental restoration work.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of construction equipment, including GPS-controlled excavators and bulldozers.
- Assist with grading, setting grades, and installing features according to site plans.
- Perform equipment checks, report maintenance needs, and ensure site safety protocols are followed.
- Support in training newer crew members on safe practices and task procedures.
- Monitor work progress against project specifications and communicate with team members.
Requirements
- 2 years of construction experience
- 1 year of experience operating construction equipment
- Strong familiarity with safety practices and PPE
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills
- Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level
- Ability to read project plans and implement them in the field
- Basic experience with GPS and grading tools
- Availability for weekly travel
