A hands-on field position supporting restoration and construction projects, involving manual labor such as seeding, erosion control, and equipment operation, with opportunities for learning and traveling across North Carolina to help restore ecosystems and natural resources.
Key Responsibilities
Support Machine Operators to maximize productivity on linear footage
Assist Construction Oversight with shooting grade and taking as-built points
Perform seeding, mulching, and installation of erosion control matting
Work with construction crews on manual labor activities
Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment
Clean equipment and report service concerns
Support landscape restoration activities such as planting, seeding, and invasive species removal
Requirements
Prior construction and or landscape experience is required.
Ability to travel 2-4 nights throughout the week on key projects and be home on the weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills.
Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level.
Previous experience in outdoor construction.
Experience and understanding of engineered blueprint drawings and specifications.
Willing and able to travel overnight and work at assigned project locations weekly.
Willingness and ability to occasionally lift 70 pounds.

Maintain a positive working relationship with customers and co-workers.
