• Serve as a technical resource in customer conversations including on-site visits and technical feasibility discussions
• Work directly with customers on initial system design concepts, site integration requirements, and project scoping, translating their needs into actionable technical specifications and clear project expectations.
• Support commercial proposal development including Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), system layout concepts, technical specifications, and inputs to pricing and capacity models.
• Build and maintain deep expertise in Redwood’s energy storage products — battery chemistry, pack configurations, system architecture, degradation characteristics, and performance parameters — and serve as the go-to technical resource for the commercial team.
• Partner with engineering teams to surface customer feedback, flag capability gaps, and inform the development roadmap based on field learnings and evolving customer needs.
• Enable the commercial team to operate independently on technical matters, reducing reliance on core engineering for routine customer questions and design decisions as Redwood scales.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on, “get it done” mindset — willing to travel to a customer site, roll up your sleeves, and figure out what’s needed
• Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and make well-reasoned technology and product decisions without frequent guidance from engineering leadership.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of time
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well cross-functionally but also to represent Redwood’s technical capabilities credibly to external customers and translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
