A Hardware Technical Program Manager responsible for leading the development, testing, and manufacturing of complex electronics assemblies, ensuring reliable design, validation, and scalable production through cross-functional coordination and program management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, testing, and manufacturing of complex electronics assemblies from concept to production.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across hardware engineering, validation, supply chain, and operations.
Plan and manage prototype and production builds, including materials, logistics, and factory readiness.
Oversee system integration, validation testing, and release of boards and flex assemblies.
Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to review design for manufacturability and testability, improve yields, and resolve issues.
Maintain project plans, risk registers, and dashboards, proactively managing schedule and resource risks.
Serve as the primary interface between Redwood engineering teams and external manufacturing partners.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline; an advanced degree is a plus.
At least 5 years of experience in hardware program management, hardware engineering, or manufacturing operations.
Proven success in driving New Product Introduction (NPI) builds and scaling hardware programs to volume production.
Strong understanding of box-level assemblies including PCBs, flex circuits, harnessing, enclosures, and thermal systems.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills with a proven ability to thrive in high-ambiguity environments.
Willingness to travel to Redwood's sites, suppliers, and contract manufacturers as needed, including travel to Reno, NV and the Bay Area.
Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments, maintaining regular and punctual attendance in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
Work schedule flexibility to support production needs, including potential work on weekends or alternate shifts, approximately 25% of the time.
Ability to work in challenging working conditions that may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, while protected by PPE, for extended periods.

Compensation range: $153,000 - $255,000 USD
