Job Description
A Senior Data Engineer supporting the Department of Defense by designing and implementing data solutions to enhance data-driven decision-making and national security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust data solutions to support data-driven decision-making across the Department of Defense
- Support the development and maintenance of data infrastructure and pipelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Requirements
- Experience supporting the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition Sustainment (OUSD A S) or similar high-level defense or government agencies.
- Proven ability to design and implement robust data solutions that support data-driven decision-making across large organizations, specifically within the Department of Defense or equivalent complex environments.
- Strong understanding of data management, data analytics, and data engineering principles relevant to national security initiatives and investments.
- Demonstrated experience in building technology-agnostic data solutions that can operate across diverse systems and platforms.
- Ability to support and contribute to the transformation of data utilization and technology within the Department of Defense.
- Experience working in environments requiring high-impact, mission-critical data solutions that directly influence national security efforts.
- Knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance standards applicable to defense and government data handling.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels within the Department of Defense and other government agencies.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles in defense, government, or similarly complex sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
