Job Description

The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) supports the security of complex information systems for the Army INSCOM G-6, ensuring compliance with DoD and NIST standards, leading cybersecurity efforts, and protecting mission-critical data in a national security environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the overall security posture of complex information systems.
Ensure compliance with DoD and NIST security guidelines.
Lead and oversee a team of cybersecurity professionals.
Conduct risk management and security authorization (ATO) processes.
Protect mission-critical data within national security systems.

Requirements

Support the Army INSCOM G-6 at Fort Belvoir, VA by being responsible for the overall security posture of complex information systems.
Ensure compliance with stringent Department of Defense (DoD) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines.
Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals to maintain and improve information system security.
Possess expertise in risk management and authorization processes, including Authority to Operate (ATO).
Demonstrate experience in managing security for sensitive national security systems.
Have the ability to support high-impact projects that protect mission-critical data.
