Job Description
The Renewable Energy Operations Manager oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and performance of Reactivate's solar project portfolio, ensuring safety, compliance, and technical resolution while managing budgets and coordinating with third-party providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the solar project portfolio, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance
- Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Manage relationships with third-party O&M providers, asset managers, and suppliers
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and communication issues
- Procure parts, materials, and services to support technical resolution
- Conduct quality assurance inspections of third-party technician work
- Develop and implement operating and maintenance procedures in line with regulations
- Develop annual operations and maintenance budgets and monitor expenditures
- Assist field technicians with on-site maintenance and troubleshooting
- Coordinate vegetation management and snow removal services
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field or technical degree
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations, maintenance or asset management within the renewable energy industry
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in PV maintenance including DC systems, medium voltage AC systems and network communications
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using analytical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams schematics
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring tools
- A minimum of six (6) months of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Willingness to travel up to 70% as business needs warrant
