Job Description
A leadership role responsible for establishing and managing drone and field operations at solar farms across Australia, including installation, commissioning, and operational management of Drone-in-a-Box hardware, while building scalable processes and local operational networks to support the company's growth in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, commissioning, and operation of Drone-in-a-Box hardware at solar farms across Australia
- Develop and manage the local operational network, including sourcing pilots and hiring contractors
- Build scalable processes to support regional growth and operational efficiency
- Ensure technical execution of drone operations with hands-on leadership and aviation discipline
- Serve as the primary architect for operational procedures and workflows in the region
Requirements
- Experience in installation, commissioning, and operation of Drone-in-a-Box hardware at solar farms or similar renewable energy sites.
- Ability to serve as the primary architect of the local operational network, including sourcing pilots, hiring contractors, and building scalable processes to support growth in the region.
- Demonstrated technical skills relevant to drone hardware, automation, or related operational technology.
- Operationally minded leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate field activities across multiple sites.
- Hands-on technical grit and aviation discipline necessary for operating drone hardware safely and effectively.
- Strong entrepreneurial leadership skills to build and scale local operations.
- Ability to communicate honestly and effectively, demonstrating transparency into operations.
- A sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced industry addressing a global problem.
- Willingness to take complete ownership and accountability over role and success in the team.
- Ability to work in Australia, including understanding of local regulations and environment for drone operations.
- Physical ability to perform field work at solar farm sites as required.
