Job Description

A Technical Program Manager at Pure Storage leads engineering projects, manages cross-functional teams, and develops scalable processes to support product development and infrastructure initiatives in a data storage technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects and develop scalable processes
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, schedules, and budgets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product integration
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Utilize Jira for planning, tracking, and reporting project progress
  • Coordinate deployment scheduling and infrastructure hardware management
  • Facilitate project management of infrastructure shared services across business units
  • Manage end-to-end asset lifecycle and data center capacity planning
  • Interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate project status and issues

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project management, specifically related to data centers or infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive experience of using Jira for roadmap planning, ticket queue management, and dashboard creation.
  • Technical aptitude demonstrated through relevant education or related experience in technical quantitative fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Product management expertise with a strong understanding of product lifecycles and integration strategies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical management teams and maintain superb follow-through.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors as a team player and creative thinker.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills, with knowledge of product lifecycle management.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities efficiently and quickly surface major issues for cross-team resolution.
  • Experience in building timelines and integrations for new products.
  • Experience developing and driving new processes, recommending tools, or streamlining existing processes.
  • Experience managing technical projects or programs, including developing and managing milestones, schedules, and budgets.
  • Experience managing risks, issues, and developing mitigation strategies among cross-functional teams.
  • Experience reporting project deliverables and targets, with extensive use of Jira and Jira Dashboards.
  • Experience with parts ordering, forecasting, and end-to-end asset lifecycle project management.
  • Experience in data center capacity planning and deployment scheduling for R&D equipment and infrastructure hardware.
  • Experience facilitating project management of infrastructure shared services projects across multiple business units.
  • Ability to work in an in-office environment at the Lehi, UT location in compliance with company policies.

Salary range: $117,000 - $176,000 USD
