The Commercial Readiness Program Manager leads the development and implementation of governance processes to ensure new products are market-ready, coordinating cross-functional teams to streamline product launches, optimize commercial operations, and drive data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Design and operationalize the end-to-end Commercial Readiness gate process for product lifecycle management
Lead and facilitate the Commercial Readiness Board to ensure cross-functional validation before product launches
Standardize operational processes and translate commercial needs into technical requirements within systems like CPQ, ERP, and billing
Establish and maintain KPIs and dashboards to measure program impact and provide insights on launch pipeline health
Develop playbooks, training modules, and templates to embed commercial readiness practices into organizational workflows
Requirements
Extensive experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in B2B technology, specifically within commercial operations, product operations, or quote-to-cash environments.
Deep understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and hands-on experience in at least two critical domains such as product launches, CPQ configuration, subscription revenue management, or ERP fulfillment.
Proven ability to facilitate high-stakes Go No-Go decisions and drive consensus among senior stakeholders in Finance, Tax, IT, and Product without direct authority.
Adept at using data to tell a story, including defining KPIs, building dashboards, and translating complex technical or financial hurdles into actionable program milestones.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex commercial concepts into clear, professional artifacts and executive summaries.
Ability to design and operationalize end-to-end Commercial Readiness gate processes, transforming early-stage product definitions into commercially complete offerings by enforcing rigorous entry and exit criteria across the product lifecycle.
Experience in designing and leading governance models, including facilitating cross-functional boards such as the Commercial Readiness Board (CRB).
Experience in defining levels of commercial change to streamline engagement models and translating commercial needs into technical requirements within CPQ, ERP, and billing ecosystems.
Ability to establish and maintain KPI dashboards to measure program impact, including metrics such as speed-to-market, SKU defect rates, and revenue-at-risk.
Experience developing playbooks, training modules, and templates to embed commercial readiness practices into organizational processes.
Physical presence and ability to work primarily from the Santa Clara office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or approved leave.
