Job Description
This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native microservices for enterprise data storage products, with a focus on quality, collaboration, and innovation in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud native microservices for Portworx products
- Integrate new features into Portworx products
- Conduct design, development, testing, code reviews, and documentation
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders from initial design to production deployment
- Take ownership of design and development activities, incorporating customer feedback
- Experiment with new technologies to innovate solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 8 years of experience in designing, development, and testing of enterprise products
- Experience in designing and developing cloud native microservices and integrating new features into products
- Experience with designing and owning microservices to operate and scale in a distributed system architecture that scales to thousands of nodes
- Expert debugging skills and ability to navigate through ambiguous problems at scale in public and private cloud environments
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including product management and customer beta partners, in designing highly scalable and production-quality software
- Solid computer science background in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Good understanding of microservice architectures and cloud native platforms
- Willingness to work in an in-office environment at the Santa Clara office in compliance with company policies
