The Senior Implementation Engineer is responsible for delivering and supporting Pure Storage solutions through customer deployments, upgrades, and technical support, ensuring customer success and continuous improvement in storage architecture and delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site installation, upgrades, and configuration of Pure Storage hardware and software solutions at customer premises
Lead assessment, planning, and customer engagement activities for upcoming installations and expansions
Design, develop, and implement customized storage solutions and proof of concept environments based on customer requirements
Provide advanced troubleshooting, support, and knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment, upgrades, and customer satisfaction
Requirements
Minimum Security Clearance to SC Level
Experience in performing on-site installation of Pure FlashArray m and x series systems at customer premises
Experience in executing HW and UDs for Current FlashArray X and XL series FlashBlade NDUs
Experience in installing and configuring expansion shelves, data packs, expansion cards, and other hardware components
Experience in performing capacity consolidation and system expansion activities
Experience in installing and configuring Pure ActiveCluster and other Pure software features and functionality
Experience in supporting installation of additional Pure hardware and solutions offered now or in the future
Ability to lead assessment and planning calls with customers for upcoming installations and NDUs
Ability to provide basic to advanced knowledge transfer to customers, including Hosts, host groups, volumes, replication sessions, and core array functionality
Ability to plan and manage travel to customer sites as required
Ability to define and develop customized storage solutions aligned with customer requirements, leveraging Pure best practices and latest technologies
Ability to design and implement Proof of Concept (PoC) environments to validate solutions and new approaches
Ability to bring forward creative, innovative ideas that enhance storage architectures, delivery processes, and customer outcomes
Ability to actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement across systems, processes, and delivery methodologies
Ability to create and maintain high-quality documentation, including architectures, configurations, procedures, and delivery guides
Ability to act as a subject matter expert, providing advanced troubleshooting and support for complex customer issues
Strong collaboration skills and experience working effectively across sales, support, delivery, and engineering teams
Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion, overcoming challenges along the way
Proven track record of innovative thinking, including developing and implementing new ideas or POCs
