Key Responsibilities
Design and implement replication, clustering, and data migration solutions for customers.
Provide technical consultation and support to sales teams and customers during pre-sales and post-sales phases.
Participate in customer evaluations, proof of concepts, and project planning for technical solutions.
Develop scripts to automate processes related to storage integration, replication, clustering, and data migrations.
Evaluate partner proposals to ensure quality and value in migration services.
Support the delivery of complex technical projects across various environments and platforms.
Advise on engineering strategies for replication, clustering, and data migration to meet disaster recovery and business continuity needs.
Requirements
Strong technical competencies in the field of replication, clustering, cloud offerings, and data migrations, with the ability to provide implementation capability and technical consultation to customers and sales teams.
Experience working on cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Marketing, Business Development Managers, Services, and Engineering to scope and help sell Professional Services solutions for homogeneous and heterogeneous solutions.
Thorough understanding of IT architecture, designing solutions, networking, and implementation of these solutions.
Significant experience across different replication technologies, clustering, cloud, and data migration solutions.
Experience delivering large-scale and complex projects utilizing replication, clustering, cloud, and data migration offerings.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, PowerShell, Visual Basic, and Python to enable automation of processes.
Experience with Flash Array storage solutions.
Experience with replication technologies and Active Cluster or similar clustering solutions.
Experience with cloud-based offerings such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud platforms.
Experience with data center migrations and consolidations, including tools and methodologies for block and file data migrations.
Knowledge of networking concepts and high-level network design, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Local Area Networking.
Experience with Cirrus Data Solutions Appliance or similar appliance-based solutions for migrating block data.
Familiarity with virtualization tools such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Hyper-V, and VMWare ESX/vRA SRM.
Experience with storage migration tools such as Logical Volume Manager (LVM), Datadobi, StorageX, and Open Replicator.
Knowledge of disaster recovery, replication, and backup technologies including Zerto, Veeam, Rubrik, Veritas, and NBU.
Ability to contribute significantly to data migration solutions in RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, and UNIX OS, NFS file systems, and UNIX distributed network environments.
Understanding of security concepts such as firewalls and security best practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Experience demonstrating a significant level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell Pure products and services.
