Job Description
The role involves leveraging technical expertise to support sales of Pure Storage solutions by understanding customer needs, proposing innovative storage and cloud architectures, and delivering technical presentations to drive business growth within enterprise accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage technical expertise to promote and adopt PURE solutions with prospects and existing customers.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their business goals and propose tailored technical solutions.
- Work with sales, partners, and marketing teams to develop strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Conduct evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations to demonstrate product capabilities.
- Create and deliver technical presentations and architecture proposals to clients.
- Translate customer business needs into innovative storage solutions.
- Support the response process for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for interoperability, testing, and validation.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Lead technical discussions and promote thought leadership within the organization.
Requirements
- Pre-sales experience is required
- 8 or more years of relevant experience, mixed among technology, design, and communications required
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client server and web-based computing solutions
- Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts preferred
- Familiarity with storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN
- Knowledge of Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment
- Experience in supporting the sales of enterprise storage solutions
- Contribute significant portions and or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with modern web architecture such as LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, microservices architecture
- Knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networking
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements such as structured databases SQL, Oracle is highly desirable
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus
- Installation and configuration experience of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures
- Ability to connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes
- Ability to capture requirements and translate customer’s business needs into innovative solutions
- Ability to develop and deliver technical product and architecture presentations
- Ability to support evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus
- Familiarity with storage architectures and applications such as structured databases SQL, Oracle is highly desirable
- Must be based in Malaysia and work from the Malaysia office in compliance with company policies
