Job Description
A Systems Engineer in Mumbai responsible for supporting sales of enterprise storage solutions by providing technical expertise, developing customer relationships, and creating innovative storage architectures to drive business growth and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage technical expertise to promote and adopt Pure Storage solutions with prospects and existing customers.
- Understand customer business goals and propose tailored technology solutions.
- Collaborate with sales teams, partners, and marketing to develop strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Conduct evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations to demonstrate product capabilities.
- Create and deliver technical presentations and responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Translate customer requirements into innovative storage solutions to support their growth.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging storage architectures.
- Support the technical aspects of sales processes, including system configurations and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting the sales of India’s enterprise storage, networking, or systems solutions to a combination of large enterprise accounts and data centers.
- Pre-sales experience is required.
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
- Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
- Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus.
- Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes (k8s), and microservices architectures is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with modern web architecture such as LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, microservices architecture is a plus.
- Curiosity and passion for technology, with the ability to explain and demonstrate new technology platforms and concepts to customers.
- Ability to work from the Mumbai office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements such as structured databases (SQL, Oracle) is highly desirable.
