Job Description

The role involves leading strategic enterprise sales and account management efforts within the mining industry, focusing on data management and storage solutions, building long-term customer relationships, and driving growth through technical expertise and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-year account plans aligned with customer business objectives and digital transformation roadmaps.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities within mining accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Manage opportunity pipeline, forecasting, and sales activities across assigned territory.
  • Build industry expertise on mining challenges, trends, and technology impacts, including data management and cyber-security.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with C-level executives and operational stakeholders in mining organizations.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, proposals, and business cases demonstrating value and ROI.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and deal closures in line with company frameworks.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, or business development, ideally within infrastructure, data platforms, or enterprise technology.
  • Proven experience selling to the Mining and/or Energy industry, with a strong understanding of large enterprise customers.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and large strategic accounts.
  • Strong balance of technical depth and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate technology into business outcomes.
  • Excellent understanding of enterprise IT procurement processes and vendor management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence, and lead across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving as part of a collaborative, high-performance team.
