Job Description
The role involves leading enterprise-wide data management and governance initiatives, particularly focusing on Product Master Data Management (MDM), to optimize data quality, standardization, and accessibility across the organization, enabling smarter business decision-making and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the enterprise vision and strategy for Product Master Data Management (MDM), including governance structures and data stewardship models
- Design, implement, and govern a comprehensive Product MDM program focused on standardization, lifecycle management, and data stewardship
- Collaborate with senior leaders across departments to define data standards, ownership models, and accountability frameworks
- Chair and co-lead governance councils to promote policy adoption, monitor compliance, and drive executive sponsorship
- Establish and enforce policies and controls for product data quality, integrity, and accessibility to ensure regulatory compliance and support strategic decisions
- Oversee the integration of global product data into enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and PLM to ensure consistency across business units
- Review and approve solution designs, requirements, and governance models to align systems and processes with MDM objectives
- Create and institutionalize enterprise data assets, including lineage documentation, data catalogs, and standards
- Manage program performance, budgets, and risks, providing executive reports on impact and mitigation strategies
- Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and direction to data stewards and staff to align with business priorities
Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise data management, including a minimum of 5 years directing Master Data Management programs through full lifecycle global implementations.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and governing a comprehensive Product Master Data Management (MDM) program focused on standardization, lifecycle management, and data stewardship.
- Experience partnering with internal business and technology leaders to define enterprise product data standards, ownership models, and accountability frameworks.
- Ability to establish and enforce corporate-wide policies and controls governing product data quality, integrity, and accessibility to ensure regulatory compliance and enable strategic decision-making.
- Experience overseeing the global integration of product data into enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, PLM, and analytics platforms, ensuring consistency across business units and geographies.
- Proven ability to review and approve strategic solution designs, requirements, and governance models to align enterprise systems and processes with MDM objectives.
- Experience creating and institutionalizing enterprise data assets including lineage documentation, data catalogs, data dictionaries, and master data standards to advance corporate data literacy.
- Experience managing program performance, budgets, and risk mitigation, with proactive issue resolution and executive reporting on program impact.
- Strategic leadership, coaching, and direction to data stewards and professional staff, ensuring alignment to business priorities and professional development.
- Ability to influence enterprise transformation initiatives and drive adoption of MDM strategy as a senior representative of the Data and Analytics organization.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise data management, with at least 5 years specifically managing MDM programs through full lifecycle implementations.
- Deep expertise in industry-leading MDM and data quality tools such as Reltio and Informatica.
- Deep expertise in the Product data domain with working knowledge of Customer, Asset, Material, and Supplier domains.
- Demonstrated success in integrating MDM with enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, PLM, and analytics platforms to drive enterprise-wide business transformation.
- Preferred experience leveraging AI-driven automation and analytics to shape the future of MDM and deliver transformative business outcomes.
- Recognized thought leadership in data governance and management frameworks, with the ability to define, implement, and influence enterprise standards.
- Extensive program management experience at the executive level, including accountability for cross-functional teams, vendor engagement, budgets, and senior stakeholder relationships.
- Strong collaboration and decisiveness skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders and ensure timely decision-making.
- Exceptional strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into business impact.
- Outstanding executive communication and presentation abilities, with experience influencing C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Master’s Degree in a related field is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite at the Santa Clara, CA office in accordance with company policies.
