Job Description
The role involves leveraging technical expertise to support sales and implementation of enterprise storage solutions, collaborating with customers and partners to understand their needs, and demonstrating the value of the company's storage products through technical presentations and solutions development.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage technical expertise to promote adoption of EverPURE solutions with prospects and existing customers
- Understand customer business goals and propose creative technology solutions
- Collaborate with sales, partners, and marketing teams to develop business strategies and drive revenue
- Conduct evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations for storage products
- Create and deliver technical presentations to customers to secure technical wins
- Translate customer requirements into innovative storage solutions
- Support the development of technical proposals and responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for interoperability, testing, and validation
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging storage architectures
- Contribute to marketing materials and thought leadership content related to storage solutions
Requirements
- Pre-sales experience in Hong Kong is required.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client server and web-based computing solutions.
- Prior experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
- Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus.
- Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes (k8s), and microservices architectures is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills in English and Cantonese.
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with modern web architecture such as LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, microservices architecture is a plus.
- Curiosity and passion for technology, with the ability to explain and demonstrate new technology platforms and concepts to customers.
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements, such as structured databases like SQL and Oracle, is highly desirable.
- Must be able to work from the Hong Kong office in compliance with company policies unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
