Job Description
A Senior Technical Product Manager responsible for leading the development and strategy of enterprise data recovery solutions, focusing on disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and business continuity, by collaborating with engineering, UX, and customer teams to deliver resilient, enterprise-grade products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of product roadmap for enterprise application and data recovery solutions.
- Define and validate product performance metrics such as RTO and RPO across recovery scenarios.
- Collaborate with engineering, UX, and architecture teams to optimize recovery workflows and deliver user-centered solutions.
- Translate customer use cases into technical requirements and influence feature design and prioritization.
- Create technical deliverables including requirements documents, architectural diagrams, and best practices.
- Deliver technical presentations, demos, and represent the product in industry forums and customer engagements.
- Engage with customers to understand recovery pain points and incorporate feedback into product improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in product management, solutions architecture, engineering, or technical pre-sales.
- Solid technical understanding of storage infrastructure in enterprise data centers, with the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams and translate technical topics into clear product direction.
- Skilled in systems thinking to assess the root causes of application downtime and data loss across compute, storage, virtualization, and networking layers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly explain complex workflows and value propositions.
- Proven ability to present to both technical and executive audiences.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority.
- Proactive, inquisitive, and eager to quickly learn new technologies.
- Innovative problem-solver with a passion for product simplification.
- Proficient in using AI tools to enhance productivity.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Ability to own and drive the product roadmap for enterprise application and data recovery, focusing on disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and business continuity.
- Ability to define and validate product performance based on Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) across varied recovery scenarios.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to optimize end-to-end recovery workflows across hybrid cloud, SaaS platforms, and security ecosystems.
- Ability to translate complex customer use cases into actionable technical requirements and influence feature design, prioritization, and execution.
- Ability to gather and synthesize customer feedback, field escalations, and enhancement requests into meaningful product improvements and roadmap initiatives.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical deliverables including product requirements documents (PRDs), architectural diagrams, best practices, reference architectures, white papers, and recovery design patterns.
- Ability to work with UX and engineering teams to deliver intuitive, user-centered experiences that simplify complex recovery operations.
- Ability to act as a knowledgeable representative in internal and external forums, including webinars, customer briefings, industry events, and field enablement sessions.
- Experience in navigating high-stakes customer incidents with limited context, triaging issues efficiently, delegating, and driving resolution.
- Ability to balance long-term product vision with rapid decision-making in dynamic threat and disaster landscapes.
- Experience engaging with enterprise IT, application owners, and infrastructure teams to understand recovery pain points and evolving needs.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with customer stakeholders, helping turn feedback into advocacy for the product.
- Work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with company policies (unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave).
