Create and maintain market intelligence models to guide product and go-to-market strategies.
Develop comprehensive competitor dossiers and project future market and technology trends.
Conduct scenario planning for disruptive market events to inform decision-making.
Translate market insights into actionable strategies for product development, sales, and executive communication.
Establish and oversee the market intelligence operating cadence, including data sourcing and compliance.
Requirements
Experience in developing, maintaining, and owning the integrity of TAM, SAM, and SOM market models and workload-specific forecasts such as AI and cloud tiers, with the ability to clearly define assumptions, sensitivities, and confidence intervals.
Ability to develop comprehensive, evidence-based competitor dossiers and proactively project future engineering investments and technology inflections based on signals like hiring, OSS commits, financial filings, and standards participation.
Proficiency in running decision-tree or Monte Carlo scenarios for disruptive market events, including defining leading indicators and act-now triggers for Product and Sales leadership.
Skill in translating complex market findings into concrete proposals for the product roadmap, developing new sales plays, and crafting executive narratives used in high-level reviews and field enablement campaigns.
Experience in establishing and governing Market Intelligence operating cadence, including defining the Market Intelligence roadmap, quarterly deliverables, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for claims and data sourcing to ensure reproducibility and legal brand alignment.
Deep understanding of competitive and domain dynamics within enterprise infrastructure, specifically storage architectures, data services, cloud economics, and the AI infrastructure supply chain.
Proficiency in building and manipulating market models using advanced analytical techniques such as time-series analysis, causal inference, and Monte Carlo simulation, with proficiency in SQL and BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
Demonstrated ability to build forward-looking scenario plans and use market insights to influence and drive tangible changes in Go-to-Market strategies or Product Engineering roadmaps.
Exceptional skill in translating deep technical and financial analysis into clear, concise executive narratives and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
Ability and willingness to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Santa Clara office in compliance with company policies.
