Job Description
The Senior Manager of Finance Reporting Strategy leads the development and execution of enterprise-wide financial reporting, focusing on architecture, data governance, automation, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure accurate, scalable, and compliant financial data insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the enterprise finance reporting strategy and roadmap.
- Design and oversee the architecture, data models, and integration standards for financial reporting data flows.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of finance reporting products, including requirements, design, delivery, and support.
- Establish data quality standards, governance, and ensure reporting compliance with SOX and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate analytical needs into scalable reporting solutions and support change management.
Requirements
- 10 years in Finance Reporting, Data Analytics, or Finance Systems, with hands-on architectural and technical experience.
- Deep knowledge of ERP reporting, with SAP preferred.
- Experience with data warehousing, financial data models, and BI analytics platforms.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, ELT pipelines, and semantic layer design.
- Experience implementing reporting in multi-system environments including ERP, EPM, and BI tools.
- Strong understanding of financial processes such as Record-to-Report, FP&A, Revenue, etc.
- Ability to develop and maintain a 2-3 year reporting roadmap aligned with financial close, controllership, FP&A, and business transformation initiatives.
- Experience designing reporting data models, semantic layers, reusable data products, KPI frameworks, calculation logic, dimensional models, data lineage, metadata, and reconciliation rules.
- Ability to define integration standards for financial data flows between SAP S4, EPM (e.g., SAC, Anaplan), and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Experience owning the end-to-end lifecycle of finance reporting products from requirements and design through delivery and support.
- Ability to drive automation and reduce manual Excel-based reporting through modern engineering practices such as ELT, dbt, CI/CD, and governed self-service.
- Experience establishing data quality SLAs and leading root cause analysis for reporting inconsistencies.
- Ability to chair reporting and metric governance forums to ensure consistency, standardization, and a single source of truth.
- Experience maintaining a governed, documented, and auditable metrics catalog and data dictionary.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including partnering with Controllership, FP&A, Revenue, and CFO leadership to understand analytical needs and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
- Excellent executive communication, business partnering, and stakeholder influence skills.
- Willingness to work primarily in-office at the Santa Clara, CA office in accordance with company policies.
